Balcom Agency Awarded Medal at the 2011 Dallas Society of Visual Communications Show
Fort Worth, TX – June 20, 2011 – Balcom Agency, an award-winning advertising, interactive and public relations firm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, was recently recognized for excellence in the 43rd annual show juried by the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. The agency’s campaign for the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History's grand re-opening in November 2009 received a Silver Medal, and will be featured in the organization’s annual publication later this year.
Designed by art director Holly Aguilar and creative director Carol Glover, Balcom’s work for the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History included the development of an outdoor billboard campaign with headlines such as “Bring Friends – Even Imaginary Ones” and “Fossil Fuels – They’re a Gas.” The Balcom team used graphics from Simon Oxley, illustrator of the Twitter bird icon, to create the look for the Museum.
“Our creative team is consistently recognized for exceptional work, from design ideas to execution of the final production,” said Stuart Balcom, founder and president of Balcom Agency. “The campaign we created for the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History helped to motivate DFW residents to check out the new space and exhibits since the opening, leaving a lasting legacy that we’re proud to have been a part of.”
