Melissa Smilor Joins Balcom Agency as Front Desk Administrator

FORT WORTH, Texas – May 11, 2017 – Balcom Agency has hired Melissa Smilor as front desk administrator. Previously a part-time staff member, Smilor recently joined Balcom as a full-time B Teamer.

Prior to Balcom, Smilor worked in education as a preschool teacher and cared for middle school children with autism. Her commitment to serving others lends itself well to her new administrative role at Balcom, in which she provides expert customer service to all agency guests and helps supervise and fulfill Balcom’s office management responsibilities.

Since it is customary for Balcom employees to receive a quirky nickname, Smilor will secondarily be known as “Smile. Sparkle. Shine.” The title is a play on her kind and hospitable personality and gift for making clients and team members feel cared for every day.

Smilor earned her bachelor’s degree in social welfare from the University of Kansas in 2007.
