FORT WORTH, Texas, June 4, 2009 - The Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC) chose three pieces of creative work produced by Fort Worth’s Balcom Agency to showcase at its 2009 Dallas Show this weekend.

The three pieces to be on display are an “Oh My! Pink Eye!” patient education game designed for ALCON®, a website created for REAL School Gardens, and an issue of the DSVC newsletter, Rough Times

Fort Worth, Texas — A citywide Dedication ceremony for the Fort Worth Police & Firefighters Memorial, now under construction in Trinity Park off West 7th Street, will be held Friday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. (For details visit www.cfwfallenheroes.org)

The Dedication marks an important milestone for Fort Worth, the only U.S. city of its size without a memorial to honor its fallen officers until now. The Fort Worth Police and Firefighters Memorial will honor three deputy marshals, 55 police officers and 37 firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty since the city’s earliest days. It is designed with the flexibility to continue honoring individuals killed in the line of duty in the future.

Fort Worth, Texas – Discovery Channel's Storm Chasers are pursuing tornado season with a new twist: an online experience that allows viewers to watch storm chasers chase severe weather in real time.

The Storm Chasers teams have hit the road again in Tornado Alley, hoping for some twister action while filming for the upcoming season of the popular TV show premiering this fall. The teams' live videos are now available online at discovery.com/stormtracker.

FORT WORTH, Texas – John Robinson Jr. wasn't looking for a new job when he noticed Balcom Agency's "tweet" about a job opening for a developer for its fast-expanding interactive division.

Nevertheless, the webmaster at the Amon Carter Museum shot a quick direct message back to "d Balcomagency" to ask about the job, and by the time Balcom's social media specialist, Kayla Bond, responded he'd already gotten a tweet from Balcom's interactive account director, Chip Hanna.
