New York,  May 4, 2010 – Margaret Ritsch, director of public relations with Balcom Agency in Fort Worth, Texas has successfully completed the Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations, entitling her to use the APR professional designation. The announcement was made by the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), a consortium of nine professional communication organizations that directs this competency certification program.

Fort Worth, Texas – April 15, 2010 – Balcom Agency is collaborating with the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) to sponsor its spring professional development program featuring renowned public relations measurement expert Katie Paine. The program, scheduled for May 19 at Colonial Country Club, will focus on effective public relations and social media measurement.

Fort Worth, Texas – March 3, 2010 – Balcom Agency team members were front and center over the weekend working behind the scenes at Fort Worth Christian School’s (FWC) gala featuring former President George W. Bush. Held at the Omni Fort Worth on February 27, 2010, the sold-out event was an opportunity for Fort Worth Christian School’s community and friends to celebrate the school’s success, as well as recognize the former president for his service.

Fort Worth, Texas – February 28, 2010 – Balcom Agency earned 35 ADDY® awards at the AAF-Fort Worth awards gala held Saturday, February 27. In addition to winning seven gold, 12 silver, and 16 bronze awards, Balcom Agency won the Special Judges’ Award for a humorous and eye-catching billboard designed for the newly-renovated Fort Worth Museum of Science & History. The billboard, which features a gaseous dinosaur, elicits a giggle with a double entendre that touts the intrigue of fossil fuels. It states simply, “Fossil Fuels. They’re a Gas.”
